Pastor Robert Vaughn

My husband and I moved to LaPorte Texas  15 years ago and started a church called New Life Christian Fellowship.  This was an assignment from the Lord that was very difficult and at times a struggle beyond belief, yet through God's miraculous events and His directives the work was done.  It stands complete today and is a vibrant growing church with many attributes and gifts.  When God's will is involved He will make it happen NO MATTER WHAT.

One of the places I served at New Life was in music.  I was the Minister of Music for all those years. My passion for worship.... a orchestra.... a choir.... and the arts, it was a time consuming work that I did with joy.  But as time passed and completion begin to appear I knew the Lord had bigger plans for this House than me.  So we prayed for His Leadership over this most important part of fellowship between God and His people here.  And today I am soooo happy to tell you my readers about God's divine answer to my many prayers and patient waiting. 

 

We welcome Pastor Robert Vaughn  WITH JOY!!! He has become the Minister of Music at New Life Christian Fellowship.  I am thrilled about it.

His gifting with orchestrations, and instruments and musicians is second to none!  His ability with singers, and song writing means so very much to me.  He has years of experience with platform work, technical people and training staff. The NL music ministry is already knit together with his guidance and I know the musical years ahead will be powerful under his leadership for the church.

He's an answer beyond what I could have dreamed for New Life. 

Welcome Pastor Robert to New Life.  May you feel at home for the rest of your life!  Honestly for the first time in 15 years I am free to do the next assignment from the Lord in my life. 

Thank you..... and welcome home!  Now when we traveling I need not worry about home base - I know the worship and the music will be anointed, full and rewarding to all who attend New Life.  

The 2010 Ladies Tea

I wanted the Ladies Tea this year to be completely different from every other focus we have had.  Last year it was 'Hat's Off to Women'  the year before was 'Heavenly  Dreams'.  So this year my plan was for each leader to create her own table and atmosphere around a woman's life in the Bible.  Do you know how many women are listed in scripture?  It's interesting for sure....

So the buzz right now in Role Models of America is exciting.  Each leader has chosen 3 women to focus on. Each table will be unique and incredibly special I know.  Pastor Angela is in charge of the entire event this year. We are planning on our biggest turnout yet. It will be both very inspirational and entertaining as we have 'Tea with Mary and Martha'!!

The Mountain Crusade Service

And after the river adventure we parked the car and walked the rest of the way up to the clearing.  And we discovered almost a thousand people all crowded together having church in the dimly lit clearing. My eyes filled with tears instantly as I saw men and women and children, who have escaped from the devastation of the city below having 'church' together. 

 

There was a small generator grumbling off to the side of us and a string of light bulbs to light up the entire area.  A tarp overhead tied to the trees we were setting under.  There was a keyboard musician playing with a bass thumping and a drummer kicking out the music over the mountain.  Their voices all in harmony was so good!! 

 

They sang their hearts out, and prayed with intensity, and the entire crowd was very involved in the service. I couldn't help but wonder who in this mass of people had lost mothers or fathers or dear sisters or brothers or even children.  My heart goes out to them....

The Mysterious Woman

I am preparing my message for Role Models of America 2010. And what the Lord has given me is so very awesome.  It's going to change the lives of women.... it's already changed mine. 

If you are in Houston Texas January 17 - you owe it to yourself to attend this most special service for women.  It will be held in the Palace Theater - 2104 Underwood Laporte Tx at 6pm.  

God has a word for you......

Happy Annivarsary to my Husband

Today is our 34th Wedding Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Darling... Another milestone has been reached, and my life is richer, fuller, wiser because of you.  Thank you for marrying me. 

Moms Against Hunger - Zimbabwe Food Distribution Begins

I have such fabulous news to bring to you today!  The Moms Against Hunger Shipment to Zimbabwe arrived and is being passed out all during this Christmas season.  There are many pictures to share with you!  Lots of tears.... and joy is in my heart today as the sights open up through the internet showing glimpses of what is happening there with the precious shipment of food.

 

 

My heart is overflowing just knowing,  that along with my partners..... we have men and women, boys and girls and babies that will have nutritional food to eat  RIGHT NOW.  

Thank you partners, now you will see what your offerings have done for the lives of thousands of other people in need. Your financial gift has made this possible.

 

This shipment was packed with love, sacrifice and prayer at our warehouse.  By your help we shipped it.. and now the hands unloading this... are receiving it with excitement, knowing that YOU  cared enough to do something about their need. Thank you partners.

Getting Ready for a Moms Against Hunger Christmas Neighborhood Giveaway

I needed some help getting final details together for a big Christmas Giveaway this Saturday.  Here is what happened..... 

The Christmas Shoppe

This was a wonderful event that served our community WELL.  There were over 70 vendors here.  Everything from jewelry, to hair bows, glassware, foods, yard art, purses, clothes, beauty things and all sorts of other interesting booths. Christmas music was playing and it was a relaxing atmosphere to shop in. Outside was cold and very foggy - it just felt 'christmasy' inside.

Kookies for Kids raised funds for Moms Against Hunger with hundreds of cookies.  It was a very full day of fun for everyone who came.

 

 

 

 

 

And Cafe Geva served lunches, and christmas drinks and good will to everyone who came!

 

Angela created this event and did a fabulous job.... I am so proud of my daughter!!! Our area community businesses were blessed, and New Life found some more open doors into the hearts of all the people involved.

RMA Shopping Trip

Role Models of America - LaPorte has an upcoming Christmas shopping trip.  We are looking forward to a great time together - sisters having fun!

We all need personal friendships one with another.  I know that this event is going to be a memory making day for every lady who can attend. 

The Most Awesome Day in the World

The rapture of the Church is at hand...... are YOU ready?

All prophecy has been fulfilled.... the world is now covered with the Gospel via the Internet.

The most Awesome Day in all of mankind is about to happen.

What do you need to do to prepare to hear the Trumpet, when Jesus will come to receive his own? To be sure you go with Him when Trumpet sounds?

GIVE YOUR HEART TO JESUS, ASK FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS,  BE BAPTIZED, FIND A SOLID BIBLE CHURCH TO ATTEND, SINCERELY BEGIN TO SERVE THE LORD, FOLLOW THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND OBEY THE WORD OF GOD.

Everything in this world seems to be designed to distract, hinder, side track, and even stop believers from watching and waiting for this Day. 

But it will surely come..... it will surely come.
