The Gospel of salvation can be found in several ways in our celebrations of Jesus at christmas.
1. Gifts- God gave Jesus His only Son to save mankind. And wise men brought gifts to Him when He was born.
2. Christmas Tree- the cross of Calvary is the tree salvation was given to mankind on.
3. Lights- Jesus is the Light of the world.
4. Family and friends- Jesus gathered people close to Him.
5.Food- Jesus chose food as the way of remembrance of His sacrifice for us.
6. He was the Lamb of God- shepherds of flocks of sheep were the ones who were told.
7. Angel decorations-Hosts of Angels appeared in the sky announcing His birth.
8. The Star on top of Christmas trees- the bright Star that led the wise men all the way from the East to Bethlehem to find Jesus.

Merry Christmas!!

I would like to wish all of my beloved family.... Latta's and Holley's (and all others) a wonderful Christmas this year.  And to all of my friends from all over the world.... I hope you have a meaningful and happy Christmas.  And to Jesus my Lord and Saviour.... Happy Birthday, I will celebrate this day in Your Honor!

What's happening?

OK... I'm trying to get back to normal.... it's just such a busy season with all the Moms Against Hunger work and Role Models of America too. 

Myriads of families walk through my life daily ... some just down on their luck, others because of abuses and sins... some because of sicknesses.  Some are speechless at the gifts that they receive, some are overwhelmed by tears and cannot speak, and some just laugh and dance and hug! 

My life is full.... I'm thinking of the single moms with kids trying to provide a sane life in the midst of insanity.  Or the mom who the morning after we provided Christmas went to jail and left 4 little ones because of unpaid tickets (which she didn't have the funds to pay)

Heartaches.... some I can do something about and some I can't.  But I can pray..... and often do long after they have passed thru my life to other things....

Still unpacking....

Ok I'm back ....I think!  The house is still full of boxes of memories, countries and relationships, but we are starting to feel human again....  I believe it's harder to move across town, than it is to move to the other side of the world! (I've done both now)

While juggling the stores, office work and training new staffers..... unpacking is taking longer than I want it to.  But learning the skill of juggling elephants is old hat to me, so we do some unpacking late at night.

We will get there sooner or later.  Gkids come over every day to inspect the progress and give their little opinions to me.  This makes all the efforts of several years of planning and work worthwhile... they are the reason for all this....
