The CBC Correspondance Bible School for men and women inmates is in 35 States and our Instructors minister to them every month through the lessons.  It's one of my responsibilities to oversee .... We pray for our students daily and offer free lessons for the incarcerated across America.  A student only needs a Bible to join in... the Bible is their only text book.  Our lessons are in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans and Revelations -each chapter is one lesson.  I hope to have the entire New Testament done in my lifetime.... (James and Ephesians are underway now) 

It's a joy to know these lessons are a real help to those behind bars... If you are a Christian and you would like to be an Instructor please email me.  This is a great way to share Christ!

It's getting closer....

It's almost time to start unpacking and rethinking usage of 35 years of memories, 'stuff' and ministry. I've been studying how to downsize to half the size of a home that we used to have.  This video has some useful information, if you too are trying to clean out your home for a future of clarity and comfort. 

 

4:30 am.....

 

Warfare and sorrows, many tears and hard work have lain in your pathway.  Those who have disdained and those who have mocked have been as a chorus of voices blocking avenues.  Yet I have watched and recorded, waiting on all things to be fulfilled in you.  Do you know that even my hopes must wait on the fullness of time?  For all things must work together as a mighty wheel that turns systems,  strengths  and proposed actions in to the well planned works of God within you.

Fear nothing- it is the distractable actions of the enemy to keep you at manageable levels of tormenting thoughts.

Hope  nothing of those who are but clay.  Their strength and gaze are but mortal metal that changes with each sunrise.

But rather let your trust in Me bring you to completed pictures of faith. Hope in Me, for my plans for you are greater than any other, and my ability to perform for you without failure.

Lord we have walked alone with no one but You.  Your strength has brought us to answers that man could not give us.  I pray our mission becomes more sure in You and our abilities increase in You. 

Focused thoughts bring fulfilled actions.

Ordination of Bishops from Africa

This event has been planned for a long time and it arrived quietly and with much personal meaning.

It was with great anticipation that we greeted the man of God from Senegal Africa.  He pastors thousands and has come here to be consecrated as a Bishop in Senegal Africa. His assistant from Liberia also was ordained on sunday evening. 

This Pastor has an incredible life story and he is  a modern day Saul conversion to Paul. Born into a African family that worshipped idols his life took him down a violent road of military revolutions and great wars in the Middle East and in Africa. Wicked dictators recently killed trained him, while others stand trial for mass human atrocities committed in their reigns of terror.  But one day God reached down through a missionary and touched his life drawing him by His love. He had never known love in his religion nor experienced the love of the Savior Jesus before. And today he stands as a pastor over pastors in Africa. (His story touched my heart soooo much as I am the daughter of missionary parents in Africa.) HIs ministry at New Life was awesome and I just couldn't stop crying....

Later in the evening the Orthodox Church of the East consecrated both men before God to a greater responsibility of servant-hood.  The responsibility that comes with the laying on of hands is very great. This part of the ancient ceremony from the Apostle Thomas requires that men of God called to a higher level of leadership over other Pastors, must carry the Word in humbleness, humility and honesty before God.  The words spoken over them are the very same words given for almost 2000 years.  This was a very special service for both men who represent the Lord to Senegal and Liberia West Africa. 

I never could have imagined that my life as a child in Liberia would lead me to be standing beside such men one day.  Bishop Ba on the left from Senegal and Bishop Brown from Liberia on the right.....I am amazed... there are no words to share how I feel....
