I think women are born with mutl-tasking abilities - it seems to come naturally to them! If I could write everyday and add GM to my routines- that would be easy to update daily (alas I don't carry my computer some places I work) So when I don't write you know it just was not possible to add another thing to the day!
Today was one of those double duty days...
Order furniture from the warehouse for RMA at the same time, while taking phone calls.
Driving trip and give orders to another staff member about emailing and sending 2 resumes to 2 different offices and having the people interviewed for me...
Paint the baseboards in our remodeling project soon to be called 'home' and have a big personal meeting between me and God at the same time.
Go make lunch and eat and be gone again all total 20 min!
Paint ALL the window trim housewide- and scrap the paint off an entire window that a worker accidentally completely spray painted. And wipe my hands off umpteen times to answer text messages on my phone. I can't believe my cell didn't become 'eggshell cream' from all the handling...
Dig out tarps and plastic sheeting to lay all of the painted boards out all over the house. Take an important conference call with 'eggshell cream' hands, jeans, shirt and shoes. Good thing no one else could see me from their offices! I have sheeting on the floor lined up with nicely painted baseboards - saw horses holding door frame sections - and tables filled with door trim pieces. The house can not be walked in tonight -it's completely full of freshly painted 8, 10, 12 foot sticks!
Paint all the door trim and rosettes, and talk to both of my parents -each of them in different locations today who are traveling in Ohio today. Figured out where to lay the painted rosettes out in the bay window while hearing about various family issues.
Entertained my favorite people for a little while who don't care what I look like... just want to see their MiMi. They would have loved to stay and help.... but I only had 1 paint brush. After they left the fireplace gets another dimension to it's design - drawn and ready to 'show and tell' tomorrow.
UPS arrives..... nice timing for signatures.... I guess I could have swirled my initials with my brush... someone else knocks on the door - I stopped again and talked to them through the door....And finally an important visitor whom I paid for school projects and a christmas present.... and managed to not turn them all 'eggshell cream.'
Anyway the day ended.... I got my projects done, the different staff members managed just fine and my contractor is happy and promises to get the carpenter here at 8 tomorrow to complete this part of the house.
whew..... I only had 1 day to get this done and thank God I had a supernatural day and it happened.
I'm not multitasking anymore today... but do have to think what I'm gonna pack in the am for a trip out of town starting tomorrow... does mental multitasking count?
i love you!!!!
