While traveling the Bishop and I get the privilege of meeting various Ministries and Pastors. It's sort of a rare thing for us to be introduced to other leaders who feel as strongly about taking care of the hungry, poor, imprisoned, and sick in the world. So when Pastor Doug and Susan wanted to take us to meet a pastor who does the same type of ministry - we were intrigued. We had been told about this Pastor by several others, but had never met him before. So it was a trip over the 'hill' one day to go and meet him.
Meet Pastor Tom Quillan from Hayward California. He is a very missions minded pastor with a passion for helping the hurting. Not only does he pastor a Full Gospel Church, but he also has a Thrift Store, a Warehouse Operation, a Men's Rehabilitation Home for Drugs and Alcohol and a Women's Rehabilitation Home for Drugs and Alcohol too.
Just thought you would like to see another ministry also involved in helping others.
- Innovative
- Compassionate
- Solution orientated
- Self supportive
These are the 4 foundational building blocks to the ministries of the future.
We have similar operations that can gain wisdom from each others ministry. Only wish some of our staff could be with us to see this - what other ministries are doing in the same ways to help others.
How many thousands of these kinds of truckloads of donations have I seen? It's beyond number... it's beyond number! Only eternity will tell the whole story of who Jesus touched by the compassionate care of helping the lives of others.
This Shepherd's heart weeps for those who are caught in the traps of addiction and torment. And it takes love to keep on giving - in the face of hard work, struggle and opposition of others. We understand this massive undertaking, and we encourage him in the Master's work and calling.
If I had 3 days I would roll up my sleeves and jump in here to help out!
God bless you and all those that you touch day by day, year by year. Your rewards will be many!
