Let me take a moment and show you a few of the sights here in Rhodes Greece. This is a world famous little island with a very long fascinating history! While we were there we had one morning to view a tiny bit of Rhodes. I love this place! Just wish I had taken our pictures in front of some of these famous places!
This is the Grand Master's Palace built in the 7th Century! There is a coat-of-arms from the Grand Master H. de Villeneuve (1319-1346) in the wall. Notice the row of motorbikes outside the walls! Somehow they really look ugly next to this!
Inside the medieval city, are many shops with the original walls and cobblestone streets. Everywhere I look ...... everything must have a story to tell. I know I look like a tourist!
Look at this cat drinking from a ancient water well. Ha.... no respect for antiquities here!
This fountain was erected during the Italian occupation.
I wish I had time to explore this place - it is awesome!
And the shops are sooooo very interesting! Sure need some time....
No I did not make it home with a pair of these!
I WILL return and walk through this incredible door again. Rhodes I love you!
