Jim and Betty took us to a restaurant called The Whistle Stop which is all set up like a train car. Cute!
It's a small place with a loyal clientele that the staff all know by first name basis. Jim and Betty are well known here, as well as every person that walked in the door!
Precious ministry friends Darrell and Barbara Owens, drove down to spend some time with us.
These last two days have been been spent on many ministry issues. Time must be packed into subjects and plans, and the Bishop stuffs many ideas and thoughts into ongoing projects here in California.
I think we are having a private conference, so many different processes have been discussed!
Ideas ...... scriptures...... messages...... thoughts for the future...... thoughts of the past..... present challenges..... iron sharpens iron in these pastors.
It's been a full day of ministry. Most people have no idea what all it takes to put together a worthy Ministry, or a Church, or a Conference and a myriad of details and discussions to bring to them quality ministry.
Our day ended late, with our daughter sending us a picture via her phone - of fireworks going off in Houston Texas. Oh yes..... I forgot it's the fourth of July! And then one of my brothers sent us another picture of fireworks going off in Granbury Texas.
So it's been a good day!
