The changing of the times has come ...... looking in the mirror I can see passing time. Sometimes I can see my mother briefly look back at me! Only for a second - but I see her. So I have decided it's time to change my picture out. My old picture was when I turned 45, and the recent mile-marker I passed makes it important to change from the old to the new. Better to keep things current don't you think? Turning 50 means it's time for a more recent picture. You probably did not notice my mug shot on the left - but here I am looking at you while you are reading my words!
Now this picture is how I look now. Smile back at me and say hello! Recently I have heard from some cousins and friends that has been really special for me. Some I have not talked to or seen in 32+ years! It has meant alot to me to hear from you and see your pictures. Thanks for reading my blog!
When we get on the road I will have more time to settle in and write using my AirCard. My long lost friends and I have lots of catching up to do! The Internet truly has made the world much smaller in connecting friends and family back together! Thanks Al Gore! LOL!
And a note to my friends who dread looking into the mirror daily. Time past is not your enemy - it is your gathered strength and powerbase of wisdom, a gift from God. So may the passing years and experiences make you sweeter and kinder to others along life's way my friend. Until tomorrow......
Hello! You possibly would recoginize me by Diane Gregory. I've ran accross your blog's and have been reading for a couple of months. It's great to see how you all are and again be inspired. You guys always did that. Through the time I sat under you I grew in the Lord and I know it was from your teaching and watching how you lived. Sometimes we don't get the opportunity to thank people, but that is what I wanted to do. Thank you both Gayla and Greg for teaching me how to live among people and show God to the world. I'm not saying you or I am perfect, but I did embrase a relationship with the Lord that has taken me through some rough times in life.
In short this is where I am: Married to Mike for 14 years, three children. Dagen (18) Melissa (11) and Haley (7). We live in Lincoln, Il and I work at State Farm in Bloomington. My husband has 22 years in the military and is looking at retirement in the next year. The Lord has been speaking to us about moving, but just waiting on the where.
Again, it's wonderful to see you and your family and know that His work is still going on. Thank you for your blogs. I hope to hear back and keep in touch.
Diane
