Life is running fast and I am playing catch up at home today. Helping others in the Hurricane to recover their own lives, always makes me grateful to God for the normalcy of my own world. I have a big batch of duties today to accomplish. It's like I have a whole lot of lemons that by themselves aren't very tasty. But when I add a good attitude and a sweet spirit (that I heard preached about yesterday) my lemons have a way of becoming delicious lemonade.
What is to be done in my world today?
Counseling someone whose mother is gravely ill by phone, doing the washing, and ironing, cleaning, planning healthy meals for the week which is a challenge here in America. A doctor's appointment for me, planning a birthday party for my grand daughter with my daughter. Work on a teacher's seminar graphic with the Children's Pastor, work out the details of a Banquet for a upcoming Convention at our church with the Caterer and the IAMM President. Start planning the music for the 3 services this week at New Life. Call the staff at the RMA store and check on their needs for the week. Oh yes, and check with the church janitor about her 3 vacuum cleaners in for repairs. Check with a Pastor's wife friend whose house got flooded over the weekend while they were gone. Call another lady who has a serious illness and pray with her. And other things that will happen as life rolls along today.
Smile- it's a variety of hats - but I love it!
Just some of life's functions that require little details to make each one work well. It's not the big things that make life go around, it's paying attention to the little parts that make the big ones work well. It's squeezing the lemons and getting out the pits!
What adventure are you on today? Can you look into your own life, smooth over a few rough edges and enjoy living. Life is interesting, make lemonade with what you have!
