Coconut Milk

We were so thirsty in the afternoon and a friendly neighbor knocked on our door and offered us cool coconut drinks in their orginal packaging!  We took them thankfully and carefully cut out and removed the layer of soft coconut and found it full of wonderful milk

  Each one held about 12 oz of pure delight.  I am not sure of the nutrients, but I know that it's so much better for you than a Coke.  Here take a sip - I bet you'll like it!  One of the simple things in life that is so nice - a great drink that you know is pure, clean and totally God made!

Mexico

Leaving at 9 am we managed to go a little over 200 miles in 10 hours.  This was an exciting day.  Here we are stopped because the road has collapsed.  On either side of the road are deep revines and valleys.  So we were able to stop and enjoy the beautiful trees and foliage all around us. 

As you can tell this giant hole is going to take some time to repair. It's the little things in life that are so important.  Like the simple roads of our lives that need attention and support to keep life moving smoothly.  So we took a break and watched the workers gathering up dirt and equipment to start putting this section of life back together! 

  On the other side of the road was a deep valley.  And we enjoyed looking straight down about 150 feet!  My husband is a expert driver having gotten his PHD driving the roads of Africa!  We laughed at the memories of past roads and past experiences overlooking the edge.  Watch out below for falling rocks!  This big rig drives right through like a dream. And our car trundles along obediantly like a little sheep - never a complaint!   

One of the great things about Mexico is the fast food places to eat.  Here they serve road side service!  Drinks are sold right at your car window.  The freshest orange juice drinks you can imagine!  With such sweet smiles and open faces one can't help but want to take what they are offering up.

  Now here is a great snack.  Mexican french fries!  This is fresh jicama cut into french fries and served with chili spice and fresh lime.  We bought some from a friendly roadside seller and tried it.  MMMMM so good!  You can be for sure there are no trans fats here!  Much less lots of calories.  What a great treat!! This cost 10 pesos!

The local grocery store!  We got some baby bananas, tangerines and oranges.  You have never tasted such wonderful fruit!  It has real flavor and so juicy sweet!  It's for sure that this fruit has not been gassed or irradated or had dye put on them.  Truly pure living foods! 

Country Inn

As we are leaving here is what the front of the hotel looks like.  This is a really great place to stay and I can recommend it to anyone in this part of Mexico.  To stay in our RV on their lot - the charge was 80 pesos.  That's about 8.00 Us dollars!  A great value to all RV'ers and travellers! 

Tampico Mexico

Here is where we have spent last night.  Just outside of Tampico Mexico.  It's about 6 hours travel in the interior of Mexico.  The terrain is starting to get very green and the hills are getting steeper.

Look how beautiful this pool is.  While it is too cool and we are only here for another 30 minutes or so. 

Country Inn

The place we stayed last night was so unique!  We drove around to the back of the lot to find a place to park and surprise there was a large dirt parking lot.  Here is a place of contrasts and surprises.  On one side of us was this virtual desert. But ...... being used to seeing different perspectives in experiences, we thought hey theres no one here but us - good we will have some quiet.  So we turned off the engines and enjoyed the still night.  But imagine our surprise when we opened the blinds the next morning and found what was on the other side of the Coach.  A beautiful garden with well manicured lawns and carefully planned landscaping around a sparkling pool!  This was a RV'ers dream place to stay.   

 

Country Inn Hotel

We are stopping for the night here.  The evening weather is cool and so nice outside and we have found a very quiet place to park.  We are ready to settle in after a long day of driving.  I made a warm meal  of coconut curry and rice and now everything is cleaned up and I am going to call it a day.  This place has flowers, trees and great gardening everywhere.  Tomorrow I will explore a little.   Hmmmm this place looks interesting!
