I love sunsets... living overseas in the broad expanse of the African bushland I could see it daily in South Africa. The cool evening breeze... the calling birds... the rustling of the tall grasses. Kenya also had gorgious sunsets to watch. They always sooth me and draw my spirit upwards to see the glory of God's sky fill my vision.
Where we live there are always high wires.... refineries.... buildings and concrete structures that block the evening sky from me. I try to train my eyes to look past the paltry modern efforts to make life easier, and see the glorious heavens that change with the moment in the evening sky. So when we travel it's always a treat for me to feast on the sunsets around the world.
Just standing still for a moment together and watch the sky change makes me happy. New Zealand had sunsets I will always treasure. The still quietness, the solitude, the silence to me is a golden treasure of peace.
Someday I will have it forever..... when I get HOME. He knows I love them and I'm sure He will make them take my breath away eternally ...
I know..... I know.... it's not the smartest way to get down from the back of a trailer, but when time is short it's what I do! I'm sure my angels work overtime with me sometimes!!
So before all my friends email me and tell me "what do you think you are doing?!?" I do know better. Forklifts are not toys, but extremely valuable tools to the work of Role Models of America and Moms Against Hunger for me. I really wish I had 2 brand new ones... mine are held together with bubble gum and prayers most of the time!! So while I take a quick trip back down to the ground.... say a little prayer for me that I will be blessed with 2 brand new ones. It's not a want.... it's a need. And I can't go to the mall and simply pick them out!!
These forklifts carry all the pallets of food, water, clothing, shoes, household effects, building supplies, medical aids, and furniture up and down all day long everyday. So I have to have them to do this work. They are busy loading and unloading into warehouses or trucks or containers every day. These heavy machines are worth their weight in gold! (no wonder they cost so much) But seriously I really do need 2 brand new ones. (i'm being specific) would you join me in putting my need on your prayer list? I'll be sure to tell you when 2 brand new ones appear for me.
Don't need anything personally.... just 2 brand new forklifts Lord. And maybe I'll drive one of them in my next video for you to see!!!! Did I ever tell you that I DO have a forklift license to drive them?
I have been so incredibly busy I simply have not been able to 'fix' my blog and get it back on track! It's been having 'issues' for a while now and I had to put it out of my mind because I just didn't have the time to fiddle with it. Today it happened and I was able to figure out what's been going on with it. It was a simple tiny button that was unchecked, can you believe it?
Sometimes it's not time to fiddle with details .... and sometimes it is!
So.... I'm back and with a renewed purpose having been deepened by life, circumstances and the love of God over this season of life. Loved this overview of a scripture this morning....
If our eye is filled with Light.... then our soul is full of sunshine!
When the right time comes.... it all clicks into place! Don't get overwhelmed it's just not time to 'fix' that thing yet... when it's time Jesus will make a way! He knew I needed a little blessing today! Wish it was that fast with some other things in life, don't you?
