Gayla's Magazine is always looking for the solutions to our busy lifestyles. One of the challenges that we all face is eating choices. How to eat right while enjoying life! And all the temptations that waylay us day by day to indulge in, don't help us to control our eating habits, or build our health structures. So I have been looking into solutions for this problem of eating well. Thus Gayla's Cuisine has different ideas that are tried and true recipes that taste great, and bring good health to our bodies as well.
The present challenge is to find a good recipe for ice cream! How to enjoy this summer time treat without all the 'strings attached' such as fat, or sugar or the artificial ingredients that are put into ice cream these days. Well do I have a solution for you! This creation is fat free! It's sugar free! Has no preservatives or artificial ingredients or fake sweeteners added! Is quick and very easy to make! You have got to try this!
Right before serving - put the frozen bananas into a food processor and turn it on. Let the bananas puree until smooth. Then you can add anything you would like to it. Cinnamon or fruit or nuts, or even chocolate mint pieces. Of course this will change the flavor and calories somewhat but still very healthy for you. We did not add anything this time - just to see the flavor and texture first. And were we surprised!
And to show you what the end result looks like? Here it is with a drizzle of organic chocolate syrup on top. Mmmmmm good. The taste is excellent, and the texture is just like the 'other' kind of ice cream.
This ice cream is a real winner and one we will use from now on.
